K-12 Education

With enrollment of 25,000, the Sioux Falls Public School System offers opportunities for every child. The school district has four specialized elementary schools, middle school honors programs and a strong Advanced Placement curriculum and dual credit options at each high school. Elementary Schools

Sioux Falls has 24 public elementary schools, serving grades K-5. Elementary classes emphasize the mastery of basic skills along with respect for oneself and others.

Middle Schools

Sioux Falls public middle schools serve grades 6-8 and offer exploratory courses to help students identify goals for their futures. Their mission: to educate and prepare each student to succeed in a changing world.

High Schools

With four traditional high schools, an alternative learning school, and project-based learning academy at Jefferson High School and The Career and Technical Education Academy, Sioux Falls offers diverse options for public secondary education.
